Your visual presence is your superpower

It’s the most important (and powerful) tool you can use to get what you want.

Personal style goes far beyond dressing well.

It’s a communication tool you can either use to your advantage or suffer the consequences of your oversight.

It is only when you realize that your perception is within your control that amazing things happen.

we help our clients define and reconnect with themselves to authentically project who they are to the outside world.

How Much Does Men’s Style Really Matter?

More thank you think! Sociolinguist Albert Mehrabian published in his research on communication that in a typical face-to-face encounter, 7% of the information in a verbal exchange comes from the words used; 38% is derived from vocal tone, pacing, and inflection; and a whopping 55% of the communication is based on the speaker’s appearance and body language.

No matter who you are or how you look, you’re telling people a lot with how you dress and groom yourself. Whether you’re in a professional or a social setting, what you wear and how you wear it matters even more than what you say and how you say it.

You don’t want to continuously broadcast the wrong messages to people, especially when their opinion matters to your future. You especially don’t want to fall into the trap of conveying old messaging that doesn’t work for you anymore. What might have been perfect for you in college simply won’t serve you well as a professional.

As a Personal Style Consultant, I want to help you develop the right wardrobe to make you look amazing, without covering up who you are.

What Goes Into Personal Style?

Your style should build you up and help you towards your goals while staying true to your personality and values. There are as many styles as there are people, and yours should be tailored to your actual needs.

This is easier said than done. With literally thousands of clothing options out there, it is tempting to simply mimic what you see working for others and be done with it. This might get you by for a while, but it won’t get you noticed, and it won’t lead to either an enduring wardrobe nor an understanding of your own style.

Especially when it comes to men’s fashion, the old adage “dress for the job you want” is often mistaken to mean that you need to be boring and blend in with the crowd of other professionals around you. This is the wrong approach for most people. You aren’t like Bob from accounting or Jim from sales. While you shouldn’t merely blend in and get forgotten, you also can’t give the impression you don’t belong.

Developing a personal style that does everything you need it to is where I come in and turn your wardrobe into a tool to be used instead of a challenge to be faced every morning. With Years in the NYC fashion industry, experience as a wardrobe and image consultant, and a lifelong passion for Men’s clothing and styles, my experience will become your success.
